Olsen

Hello! My name is Wyatt Olsen. I am a Audio/Video and Home & Business automation expert based in Santa Barbara, CA. I have 16 years in the audio video business. I have worked in many different countries on various audio video and automation applications. I currently serve as President and CEO of Ultraviolet AV, INC in Santa Barbara, CA.

My story starts in 2003 in Williston, VT. As the child of a music producer with a lifetime of experience, I was always interested in Pro Audio and High Fidelity Sound Systems. I was very interested in residential theater systems and high end audio video. When I was 16 I applied for a job at a Best Buy store in the home theater department. I started in sales and quickly moved up the ladder. I was supervising the sales and installation team for Home Audio and Video equipment.

 

In 2006, I was approached by Circuit City. I was offered a contract position to be a regional installation manager for Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut and Massachusetts. I relocated to Narragansett, RI for this position. During this time, I was introduced to various systems, construction styles and very unique challenges since the modern systems that we know now didn't exist at the time.

 

In 2008 Circuit City took a turn for the worst and I resigned. I took a contract position with a high end commercial integrator. I was introduced to Crestron and AMX control systems. I was amazed by what these technologies were capable of. These installations were huge and so incredibly detailed. During my time I performed massive Crestron and AMX installations in Singapore, Canada and all over the United States. I used techniques and programming methods that he has learned from the best integrators in the world.

 

In 2009, the economy continued to fail and projects were far and few between and my contract position was no longer needed. I decided to relocate back to my home town of Santa Barbara, CA. I took a position with Make It Work. Make It Work was a computer support company in Santa Barbara. Make It Work brought me on to grow their home theater division. Make It Work lacked the resources needed to grow their business into this complicated market. I ended up leaving Make It Work in September 2010.

 

In October 2010, Ultraviolet AV, INC was born. I saw all of the problems in the industry and had many solutions. I hit the ground running and immediately started completing larger projects for many contractors. I have a strategic approach to applying technologies that custom fit the needs of each of my clients. I is an extremely well versed programmer and integrator that can automate anything and handle any project. My specialities are Crestron, Lutron and RTI Control, Audio Video System Design, Security and CCTV (Security Camera Design).
